A Simple Amish Christmas by Vannetta Chapman

41puCy7LT0L
Goodread’s overview: Annie Weaver always planned to return home, but the 20-year old RN has lived in Philadelphia for three years now. As her time of rumschpringe is about to come to an abrupt end, bringing for Annie an overwhelming sense of loneliness. She returns home and finds herself face-to-face with a budding romance with an Amish farmer and Annie has several important choices to make.
I really enjoyed this book. Annie left home because she was not content and while in Philadelphia she went to school to become a RN. She is working at a children’s hospital when she gets the call that her dad had been in a bad buggy accident and she goes home to take care of him. She does not tell anyone what she went to school for because she was worried what they would say. When she returns home her dads good friend also the Amish’s go to guy for medical issues is not so sure about Annie yet he can’t help be attracted to her.
I found this book to be an easy read. I felt the story line was not hard to get into and I was sad when it came to an end. This is Vannetta Chapman’s first novel and I can’t wait to read more of her work.

I give it 5 stars

About Me

My name is Abbie I am a SAHM of two young children. I love to read! I bought a Kindle a few months back and love it. I figured it was time to create a blog so I could post reviews of the books I read. What books can you expect to see reviews of here? I am a big romance reader. I love the series of Love Inspired I also read non-Christian romance as well but have found I am not a big fan of the amount of sex in a lot of romance books and so I have been working hard to only read clean romance. I am looking forward to sharing some of the great books I have been reading as well as learning of other great authors/books waiting for me to dive into!

Books

I love to read and wanted to start a separate blog for my book reviews.
